Conveyancing it's just paperwork, isn't it?

Your offer has been accepted on your dream home/investment. Now it is time to make it happen. You need a reliable solicitor who is experienced in conveyancing, knows the local area and holds the right quality marks such as the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme.

Why? Take a look at this short film:

Cut down the potential of delay by doing the following:

  • Get everything in place such as a mortgage in principle and certified identification.
  • Make sure you have someone on your ‘phone a friend’ line who is able to witness signatures and be available at short notice.
  • Look for properties without a chain. This can shave months off the completion time, and make things much easier for you as you will not be left hanging while the next property in the chain finalises their mortgage arrangement or completes a survey.
  • Get organised! Make sure you’ve got all the paperwork in place and stay on top of the process. Have all those important documents (building regulations sign off, guarantees, certificates, planning permissions etc.) to hand so if they are needed you don’t have to go searching for them.
