We have nominated Last Chance Animal Rescue (Registered Charity 1002349) as our 2025 Charity of the Year.
Last Chance Animal Rescue has been rescuing and rehoming animals since 1986. They have a non-destruct policy and do not prejudice against poorly, or old animals needing their help. They accept in and provide safety and love, veterinary care and health checks, routine vaccines, flea and worming treatment.
They look after their rescue cats and dogs as if they were their own and work tirelessly, until they can find them their new, forever home. They ensure all adoption homes are suitable with physical checks conducted. All Last Chance animals have the guarantee that they will be accepted back, should they ever need their help in the future, therefore giving the cat or dog lifelong safety and protection.
We will be fundraising throughout 2025 to raise as much money as possible for the charity.
Please help us if you can, by making a donation, however small, to our Just Giving page.
In previous years we have supported other local and deserving charities including; Papyrus Prevention of Young Suicide, a charity dedicated to the prevention of suicide and the promotion of positive mental health and emotional wellbeing in young people; Taylor-Made Dreams, a charity which enables children with life-limiting illnesses to achieve their dreams; Porchlight, Kent’s largest charity for homeless, vulnerable and isolated people; Hospice in the Weald which provides compassionate, holistic and supportive care for people with a terminal illness, their families and carers across West Kent and East Sussex and the 3H Foundation, a local charity which runs holidays and day trips for disabled people and enables carers to have respite.
As a business, we have been part of the West Kent community for over 270 years. It is very important to us that we give back and are passionate that we are an integrated part of the community. Here are just some of the things we have been involved in recently:
We are proud to be a long-standing Corporate Partner of Trinity Theatre in Tunbridge Wells. Trinity Theatre is a vital community hub, offering outreach projects for local schools and community groups as well as running an ambitious programme of events and activities each year. We are also pleased to be an Associate Member of The Oast Theatre in Tonbridge.
We are a proud supporter of the annual Tunbridge Wells music festival, Local & Live in Tunbridge Wells. This four day, free music festival supports and showcases local grassroots music and is a highlight in the annual events calendar. We have also supported the Tunbridge Wells Fringe Festival. This two week festival featured local artists, performers and groups offering a host of events across the arts, performing in a wide range of venues across Tunbridge Wells.
We are a regular sponsor of the Sevenoaks Summer Festival as well as Sevenoaks Indoor Bowls Club and the Sevenoaks Town Business Show.
The Paddock Wood Summer Carnival is well attended by local residents and those further afield and we are proud to sponsor this event annually. We are also the shirt sponsor of Paddock Wood Bowls Club and very much enjoy our traditional annual roll-up with their members!
In addition to supporting local community events, we have also supported a number of local schools, sports teams and individuals as well as sponsoring local radio.
